I've been an environmental campaigner since the late 1960s as well as a student of things occult

I have been an environmental campaigner for almost as long as I have studied the esoteric.I ran in the 1970 Alberta Provincial Elections on a somewhat environmental ticket (very unsuccessfully, I might add!) at about the same time as I was initiated into Freemasonry and read David Conway's "Occult Primer'. I progressed on to be National Secretary of the UK Ecology Party (later the UK Green Party) and also progressed on to be at one stage a member of AMORC and take the Society of the Inner Light Correspondence course. I ran in various UK General and Local Elections for the Green Party (just as hopeless a cause as Alberta!) and also joined the Societas Rosicruciana in Anglia.
It all started with reading ' Silent Spring ' by Rachel Carson ... not very revolutionary but a start nontheless. I wrote several pamphlets for the Ecology Party and the Green Party in the 1980s (Including ' The Campaign for Real Democracy ' and 'Global Warning' and sometimes - usually when frustrated - poetry: I've only now, after all this time, got around to sharing it.

Economic Growth It is the urge for economic growth and the desire for material things which strike at the roots of peace

All the while I was a teacher of English and Drama, directed for a Youth Theatre and on the London Fringe and played organ for RC and Anglican Services at a shared church. This all came to a stop with an accoustic nuroma - a kind of brain tumour - but I continue to be both an environmentalist and an occult practicioner. So what makes me such a glutton for punishment that I spend fighting unwinnable elections and unpopular causes? (and in studies that are always very obscure and sometimes confidential?) That's a question for you, the visitor!
Some of my writing reflects both environmental and esoteric concerns, particularly ' Only the Darkness' , which explores future lives and environmental degradation. Look on my novels page for details of this environmental thriller of corruption and murder. ' Heat Stoke ' looks at the occult, at tepathic exploration of the future, genetic engineering gone mad and the heat death of the planet in a very funny book (though the humour is sometimes black.)
